In case you missed it, Austin is in the middle of hosting the inaugural ATX Open, one of just four women’s-only tour-level tournaments in the US.

The event at the Westwood Country Club is now the biggest women’s tennis event in the state, featuring internationally ranked competitors. That includes former Longhorn Peyton Stearns, who reached her first career WTA quarterfinal on Wednesday night. See all match results here.

Today, athletes (Stearns included) will head into the quarterfinals to play it out for a spot in the finals on Sunday, March 5. Tickets are still available online.

We’ll be at the tournament later today, so keep an eye on our Instagram for updates. Until then, read our interview with tournament director Christo Van Rensburg to learn more about how the event got started.
