Freddo ATX debuts new renovations and menu

We’re calling it now — the coffee shop in a historic home is about to be one of our favorite hangouts.

A spacious outdoor seating area at Freddo ATX, featuring wooden picnic tables under a canopy of large oak trees adorned with string lights. A white sign with the cafe’s logo is prominently displayed near the entrance, and patio heaters are scattered throughout the space for comfort. A fence encloses the area, with views of nearby buildings and parked cars beyond.

Freddo’s patio is perfect for outdoor working, lounging, and people-watching.

Coffee shop and bar Freddo ATX has a fresh new look as renovations to the space have wrapped up.

Located inside the historic Walter Tips House on South Congress Avenue, the two-story Victorian shop and adjoining patio is the perfect place to work and play.

You can check it out for yourself at Freddo’s all-day anniversary party on Saturday, Jan. 25, which will feature free food + drink samples, all-day happy hour, raffle prizes, and live music from 12 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

A top-down view of a vibrant brunch spread served on wooden boards. The left board features a breaded chicken breast topped with fresh arugula and onions, accompanied by a dollop of creamy white dressing. The center board showcases an assortment of dips, including hummus, beet hummus, and a creamy spread garnished with pomegranate seeds, alongside sliced cucumbers and triangles of pita bread. The right board displays an open-faced avocado toast topped with a fried egg, sesame seeds, and greens.

From left to right, we ordered the chicken schnitzel, hummus dip trio, and avocado toast topped with an egg.
