If you’ve scrolled Instagram and seen a post from @ethos_atx — which has 74,000 followers and counting — you might not immediately notice anything amiss. The account claims to be an award-winning restaurant in Austin and the “home of unreal flavors.”

But the deeper you dive into the account, the weirder it gets. Some of the signs that this fake restaurant is created using artificial intelligence include:
