Austin FC fan guide: Everything to know about the 2025 season

Austin FC is back on Saturday, Feb. 22 — the home opener against Sporting Kansas City kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Ahead of the club’s fifth season, we’ve drummed up everything fans need to know about the 2025 schedule, where and how to watch matches, and what’s new this year at Q2 Stadium. Vamos Verde.

Austin FC’s 2025 season features 34 matches: one home and one away match against each of its 14 fellow Western Conference clubs, and six inter-conference matches against Eastern Conference opponents.

The regular MLS season comes to a close on Decision Day — Saturday, Oct. 18 — when Austin FC will take on the San Jose Earthquakes at PayPal Park in California.

Broken down by days of the week, the schedule comprises:

  • Three Wednesday matches
  • 28 Saturday matches
  • Three Sunday matches

Plus, get excited for a few “firsts” in the Austin FC regular schedule:

  • Atlanta United FC and New England Revolution will visit Q2 Stadium for the first time
  • Austin FC will take its first trip to TQL Stadium to face FC Cincinnati

Get tickets + where to watch

A seat in Q2 Stadium is a hot ticket item — the club boasts the league’s longest-active sellout streak. Peruse single match tickets here, or submit an inquiry to score tickets for groups of 20 people or more.

If you’d rather watch or listen from home, purchase an MLS Season Pass on Apple TV to get every regular season match. Both English and Spanish versions are available.

  • St. Louis City SC vs. Austin FC on Sunday, March 30
  • Portland Timbers vs. Austin FC on Saturday, April 5

What’s new at Q2?

Austin FC’s fifth season in the MLS will be its first with a new head coach. Nico Estévez is a native of Valencia, Spain, and his coaching career highlights include leading FC Dallas and serving as the first team assistant coach for the United States Men’s National Team. We can’t wait to see what he brings to ATX.

The club will also debut a new primary jersey collection this year, dubbed The Heartbeat Kit, in honor of “the heartbeat ritual” performed at every home match. You can purchase gear at Q2 Stadium in the VERDE Store or at verdevan.com.

As always, the food at Q2 Stadium is some of the best in the game. Your ATXtoday City Editors got a chance to try some new + returning bites that will be available during home games, and our faves include:

Thanks to a new partnership with Siete Foods, fans will also be able to find the brand’s Chili Lime Puff Snacks, Queso Puff Snacks, Spicy Fuego Puff Snacks, and Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips in Q2 concession stands for the first time. You’ll also see the Siete Foods logo on the right sleeve of the club’s on-field jerseys.

Also new to Q2, Minister of Culture Matthew McConaughey‘s Pantalones Tequila will be stocked in the stadium, as well as Deep Eddy Vodka, and Waterloo Tangerine.

Bonus points
