Meet your furever friend at Purrfecto Cat Lounge

Step into CATX, a haven for Austinites who fancy felines.

Three women sit with cats in their laps in front of a painted mural of a yellow ball of yarn on a lavender background, reading "I want to spend all my 9 lives with you."

Just sit down, and the cats will come to you.

It’s time to book a visit to Purr-fecto Cat Lounge right meow.

Dozens of adoptable kitties await you in a cozy space at 2300 S. Lamar Blvd. Purr-fecto owner Lupita Foster opened the lounge in July to give cats and humans a “speed dating” experience.

Foster adopted a kitty of her own, Romeo, after volunteering with cats for a local shelter. Spending such a long time with him gave Foster the confidence she needed to bring him home.

Juliet the kitten was glued to City Editor Figi’s lap for hours.

The lounge accepts cats from Fuzzy Texan Animal Rescue and the Sunshine Fund Cat Rescue. So far, Purr-fecto has facilitated 100+ adoptions since it opened.

Visitors can book a CATX-perience — $15 for 30 minutes, $30 for 70 minutes, ~$100 extra if you choose to adopt. From there, order a drink from adjoining Irie Bean Coffee, sit back, relax, and wait for the cats to come to you for a purrrfect meet-cute.
