No tickets to the upcoming Longhorn game against Ohio State? No problem.

Season tickets for the Longhorns’ 2025 season sold out (for the fourth year in a row) back in May, but the team will be away on Saturday, Aug. 30. The Horns are favored 53.3% to win, so you won’t want to miss the season opener.

That’s where we come in. If you’re looking for a fun place to watch the game, we found some good options with food specials for game day.

Central Machine Works | 4824 E. Cesar Chavez St.
This brewery is catering to Longhorn fans with game day specials galore — think $4 orange jello electrolyte shots, $7 frozens, $9 for nine wings, $15 beer pitchers, and $15 pizzas — to enjoy while watching the 7-ft x 11.5-ft projector.

Este | 2113 Manor Rd.
Football food comes MICHELIN-recommended at this seafood-forward restaurant, which will serve $10 signature margaritas, 25% off bottles of wine, $8 fish tacos, and a happy hour menu from 12 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Fareground | 111 Congress Ave.
This Downtown food hall will have a 25-ft projector screening the game on the lawn on both college football Saturdays and NFL game days. While you’re there, you can enjoy specials such as $25 buckets of Lone Star or White Claw, a “Longhorn Lemonade” cocktail, and taco plates.

La Condesa | 400A W. 2nd St.
La Clasica margaritas are $4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on game day so you can get the party started before kickoff.

Otopia Rooftop | 1901 San Antonio St., Unit #1100
You can be close to the action at this rooftop in West Campus, which will have multiple TVs playing the game, and a pool right nearby.

Pins Mechanical Co. | 4323 S. Congress Ave.
This family-friendly hall of fun will host a season opener party, complete with giveaways, mimosa pitchers, and beer towers. Pro tip: This is a great place to bring kiddos or folks who don’t want to watch, because there are tons of activities.

Texas Sake Co. | 440 E. St. Elmo Rd., Ste. B-2
A new gameday tradition awaits at this spot, where they will serve $20 pitchers of Rice Lager before kickoff.

A cozy, well-lit restaurant interior with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The space features a long bar with high stools, surrounded by wooden floors and high ceilings. The decor is a mix of vintage and contemporary styles, with exposed brick walls, industrial lighting, and ceiling fans. The restaurant's menu is prominently displayed on a board above the bar, and there are shelves filled with bottles and decorations, adding to the charm. Large windows at the back allow natural light to stream in, creating a bright and airy environment.

Grab a drink, your sports-loving crew, and head to Uptown Sports Club to watch the game.

Expect $2 hot dogs when you buy a drink during a Longhorn game, or try a $2.50 “Beertuni” (like “The OG,” which is Coors Banquet with olives and olive juice), while you watch on the 80-inch TV.
