The return of El Tree: Everything to know about the 2026 Austin FC season

Don your verde and black, because Austin FC will return to Q2 Stadium at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 21 in their home opener against Minnesota United FC.

It’s season six for El Tree, so we’ve scored everything fans need to know about the 2026 schedule, where and how to watch matches, and what’s new this year at Q2 Stadium. Vamos Verde.

Austin FC’s 2026 season features 34 matches: one home and one away match against each of its 14 fellow Western Conference clubs, and six inter-conference matches against Eastern Conference opponents.

The regular MLS season comes to a close on Decision Day — Saturday, Nov. 7 — when Austin FC will take on the Portland Timbers at home.

Broken down by days of the week, the schedule comprises:

  • Seven Wednesday matches
  • 23 Saturday matches
  • Four Sunday matches

Get tickets + where to watch

A seat in Q2 Stadium is a hot ticket item — the club boasts the league’s longest-active sellout streak. Peruse single match tickets here, or submit an inquiry to score tickets for groups of 20 people or more.

If you’d rather watch or listen from home, purchase an MLS Season Pass on Apple TV to get every regular season match in either English or Spanish.

You can also watch four matches via FOX national television broadcasts:

  • Austin FC vs. LAFC on Saturday, March 21
  • Austin FC vs. LA Galaxy on Saturday, April 11
  • San Diego FC vs. Austin FC on Wednesday, May 13
  • St. Louis vs. Austin FC on Saturday, May 23

What’s new at Q2?

The club debuted a new secondary jersey collection this year, aka The Rooted Kit, which pays homage to Austin’s green space. You can purchase gear at Q2 Stadium in the VERDE Store or at verdevan.com.

Austin FC’s partnership with Siete Foods also means fans will be able to find the brand’s Chili Lime Puff Snacks, Queso Puff Snacks, Spicy Fuego Puff Snacks, and Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips in Q2 concession stands for the first time.
