🦃 Gobble ‘til you wobble

An inviting spread of colorful dishes arranged on a striped, pastel-colored tabletop. The meal appears to be a Thanksgiving or holiday feast featuring a variety of sides. There’s a dish of roasted Brussels sprouts garnished with red chili slices, a creamy macaroni and cheese topped with breadcrumbs, a bowl of roasted corn with herbs, mashed sweet potatoes with sage and seeds, and a fresh kale and butternut squash salad sprinkled with almond slices. A small dessert square on a blue-and-white plate adds a sweet note to the scene, creating a well-balanced feast.

It’s almost turkey time, and our mouths are watering just thinking about all of the local Thanksgiving feasts.

If you’d rather not fog up the kitchen on Thursday, Nov. 28, here’s something to be thankful for: Austin restaurants are dishing up plenty of delightful meals for you and your crew.

Take-home meals

A Thanksgiving meal sits on a wooden table with foliage, grilled oranges, and acorns adding to the tablescape. On the left, a turkey is sliced with flowers decorating the meat. There's also a red velvet cake, a plate of dinner rolls, a classic pie, and a plate of butter.

Walton’s Fancy & Staple will also offer pies and mini pie assortments by the dozen.

Walton’s Fancy & Staple, 609 W. 6th St. | Sandra Bullock’s restaurant will serve up family feasts available á la carte or in a bundle. Its “Orange-Thyme Rubbed Airline Turkey Breast with Turkey Gravy” is the star of the show, accompanied by classic sides like rosemary + brown sugar-glazed roasted carrots and sharp cheddar mac ‘n’ cheese.

Dine-in experiences

A beautifully prepared Thanksgiving or holiday feast laid out on a wooden table. At the center, a golden roast chicken garnished with fresh herbs steals the spotlight. Surrounding it are a variety of enticing dishes: endive salads topped with colorful ingredients, creamy mashed potatoes with chives, Brussels sprouts, roasted meat with a rich sauce, a bowl of savory roasted vegetables, and a creamy vegetable dish with citrus. The scene is illuminated by small candles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests’ hands reach in.
