Austin City Council recently approved an electric vehicle charging ordinance that will allow installation of commercial EV charging stations in certain zones. The goal is to support the growing number of EVs in ATX, including ride-shares + growing city fleets.
We’ve been seeing more EVs on the roads lately and we’re wondering — where do EV owners power up their rides? According to the US Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuels Data Center, these are some public alternative fueling stations in Downtown Austin:
Did you know Austin’s Climate Equity Plan aims to increase community adoption of EVs? By 2030, the city’s goal is for 40% of total vehicle miles traveled in Austin to be electrified.
Austin Energy offers rebates to eligible homeowners and businesses for installing EV chargers.
