And the bracket winner is… Home Slice Pizza, voted best pizza shop in Austin by our readers and social media followers in our ATXtoday pizza bracket. We can’t say we’re surprised, after all, it is the South Congress Avenue original and “Queen of Pies.”
We want to extend a major “thank you” to all of you for participating in our bracket challenge the past few weeks. We’ve had a blast seeing how the votes shook out, and we hope you did too.
I just tried Blue Bell’s Gooey Butter Cake ice cream and I’m here to say run, don’t walk to your nearest H-E-B to pick it up. It’s probably my new favorite flavor, but it’s just as sweet as it sounds.
