Go Rockin’ Around the Rooftops with this holiday bar crawl

Don’t get your tinsel in a tangle — stroll through six of Austin’s holiday pop-up bars for fun with friends and potential for prizes.

A festive arrangement of holiday-themed drinks, including cocktails garnished with dried citrus slices, star anise, and whipped cream, set against a backdrop of holiday decorations like a small Christmas tree and ornaments. Coasters with the "Upstairs at Caroline" logo are visible in the background.

‘Tis the season to get boozy. Grab your (21 and older) friends for Rockin’ Around the Rooftops — a seasonal stroll through six of Austin’s premier holiday-themed pop-ups.

Ask for a passport at any of the participating bars and get it stamped as you stroll. If you get all participating locations stamped before Wednesday, Dec. 25, you’ll earn a $50 promo card prize for future use.

Turn off your resting Grinch face. Here’s what’s in store:

Nightmare Before Moxy | Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” comes to life at this pop-up, which features festive drinks and an atmosphere that will make you forget all about Halloween.

Naughty or Nice at Upstairs at Caroline | Enjoy the twinkling lights of this rooftop bar and the Austin skyline with rotating specials — nice guests get Rumple Minze while naughty guests get Malört.

Snow Much Fun at Edge Rooftop | Snow falls every hour on the hour at this festive bar, where you can enjoy s’mores boards, fire pit rentals, and snow globe cabanas.

A plastic clear igloo filled with a miniature white Christmas tree, a record player with three Christmas albums and a gray ottoman at nighttime.

It may not be a white Christmas in Austin, but you can at least pretend it is while lounging in an igloo at Otopia Rooftop.

Winter-Sol at Otopia Rooftop | Get cozy by renting an igloo — complete with themed cocktails, a vinyl record player, a cookie decorating kit, and board games — for yourself and five of your favorite elves.

Yule at Azul | Bundle up in a themed cabana where you and yours can indulge in a tableside s’mores kit, postcards to send, fresh blanket service, bubbles to go around, and photo ops galore.

Holiday Hideaway at Zanzibar | Enjoy a tropical holiday on this rooftop, where Santa slips into his swimsuit, spiced cocktails have an island flair, and the flamingos wear Santa hats.
