Restaurant duo opens this fall at Hyatt Centric

Heydey Social Club and The Traditional, An American Kitchen will open at the end of September.

A table set with a variety of breakfast dishes, including a vibrant red pancake topped with fresh berries and cream, a small bowl of granola with yogurt and mint leaves, a plate with slices of cantaloupe and assorted fresh fruits, a dish with a salad topped with sliced eggs, and a bowl of yogurt garnished with mixed berries. Two people are seated at the table, one holding a cup of coffee, and the other spooning a parfait from a jar.

The Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue in Downtown Austin will gain two new dining concepts this month.

Heydey Social Club and The Tradition, An American Kitchen are both headed by Executive Chef Iain Reddick, who has previously worked at The Driskill.

Situated on the ground floor of the hotel, The Tradition, An American Kitchen will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an upscale setting. Expect house creations including horchata overnight oats, brisket omelets, barbecue boards with Dr. Pepper sauce, and a drink program featuring Texas-based spirits.

A marble table with an assortment of small plates and cocktails, including a dish of arancini served with a dipping sauce, a glass jar filled with a savory parfait topped with herbs, and a plate of sliced focaccia bread. A martini garnished with a pickled garnish and a cocktail with a dried fig are also present. Another dish with a custard-like spread and toasted bread slices is set in the background.

In addition to craft cocktails, Heydey Social Club will serve whipped ricotta with fresh bread, crab arancini, and savory spreads.

Up on the eighth floor rooftop, Heydey Social Club will feature both indoor and outdoor seating for city gazing. The bar will serve European-inspired cocktails in a mid-century modern space, plus light bites including local meat + cheese, whipped herbed ricotta with hot honey, crab arancini, and more.

Both concepts will open on Friday, Sept. 27 — see you there.
