Do the words “don’t talk to me before I’ve had my coffee” sound familiar? We’ve found the festival for you.

The Austin Coffee Festival — which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Palmer Events Center — will showcase a roster of some of the top coffee, tea, and chai makers in the country.

Before you caffeinate, here’s what you should know.

The festival will be broken down into two sessions per day, the first from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second from 1:30 to 4:30. The same vendors will attend both days.

The setup includes multiple coffee cups and carafes on the table, and a sign about coffee roasting in Austin is visible in the background. While some coffee companies — like Carta Coffee Merchants from Kona, Hawaii and Red Minas Coffee of Bogotá, Colombia — come from far and wide, many of the roasters are from Austin, including familiar faces like:

  • Fara Coffee
  • Greater Goods Coffee Co.
  • Sightseer Coffee Roasters
  • Cuvée Coffee
  • Barrett’s Coffee Roasters
  • Lazarus Brewing Co.
  • and more.

Outside of sipping some bean juice, guests will also be able to enjoy live music and attend coffee keynotes with prominent locals in the industry.

Are you a barista yourself? Consider entering the latte art competition, which will be judged by local baristas Bryson Lambert of Medici Coffee Roasters, Sam Peyton of Texas Coffee Traders, and Jak Ryan of Proud Mary. The winner will receive a $500 prize.

If you’re ready to sip, tickets start at $24. Can’t make it? Austin is home to dozens of delightful coffee shops, so check out our list.
