A charming pink house with white trim surrounded by lush greenery and large trees. The house has a cozy front porch where three people are sitting and chatting, enjoying a sunny day. One person is seated on the steps, while the other two are in green chairs. The relaxed and inviting atmosphere reflects a typical Austin neighborhood vibe.

Table of Contents

One of the most loveable things about Austin is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars.

Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Aquarius: Cherrywood | Jan. 20-Feb. 18

The unique businesses of Cherrywood embody the eclectic nature of an Aquarius. This cozy little area, which sits just east of I-35, is packed full of cafes like Cherrywood Coffeehouse, restaurants like Salty Sow, and a few pocket parks.

Pisces: Holly | Feb. 19-March 20

The Holly neighborhood provides an escapist moment for a Pisces to relax. This east Austin community has the best of both worlds with access to the Ann and Roy Hike-and-Bike Trail, so Pisces can recharge their social battery, with proximity to restaurants like Ezov and Canje.

Aerial view of a downtown city street lined with historic low-rise buildings, contrasting with modern high-rise skyscrapers in the background. The older buildings feature ornate architectural details, while the surrounding tall glass structures reflect the city's urban development. Trees line the street, and cars are parked along the curbside, with light traffic moving on the road below.

Aries: Downtown | March 21-April 19

Known as the passionate and confident leader of the zodiac, an Aries would feel right at home in Downtown Austin. Living in the heart of the city would allow Aries to forget FOMO with Lady Bird Lake, the 2nd Street District, and the original Whole Foods all within walking distance.

Taurus: Zilker | April 20-May 20

As a lover of loyalty, Taurus will feel right at home in the Zilker neighborhood, right next to the “crown jewel” of the Austin Parks System. This central locale has something to do, see, or eat (think: Uchi, Ramen Tatsu-ya, and Odd Duck) around every corner.

Gemini: Bouldin Creek | May 21-June 20

The extroverted nature of a Gemini means they tend to get along with all kinds of people — similar to Bouldin Creek. This historic neighborhood is home to the Texas School for the Deaf, a robust arts scene, and some of Austin’s longest-standing Hispanic-owned businesses like Cantu’s Mexican Imports.

Bouldin Creek is home to some of Austin’s most famous murals, including this one on the side of Roadhouse Relics.

Cancer: Mueller | June 21-July 22

The sentimental and gentle nature of this sign is an ideal match for Mueller. Dreamy and picturesque, visiting Mueller’s Lake Park and the Texas Farmers’ Market is a restful weekend recipe for a water sign.

Leo: Tarrytown | July 23-Aug. 22

Tarrytown’s vibe radiates the welcoming and proud nature that a Leo embodies. This iconic neighborhood — located just west of MoPac — boasts the Lions Municipal Golf Course, proximity to Lake Austin, plus eateries like Mozart’s Coffee Roasters and Littlefield’s with neighborly vibes.

Virgo: Allandale | Aug. 23-Sept. 22

This earth sign has very practical and grounded qualities, making the Allandale neighborhood a suitable match. Centrally located yet serenely residential along Shoal Creek, Allandale is a great place to find street food and antique shops.

Libra: Travis Heights | Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Travis Heights’ active, small-town vibe is just as balanced as a Libra. Neighboring South Congress Avenue, Travis Heights will soothe this sign’s indecisive nature by putting some of Austin’s best food, shopping, live music, and hospitality right at their doorstep.

Scorpio: North Loop | Oct. 23-Nov. 21

The aura of North Loop’s picturesque strip perfectly encapsulates this water sign. Mysteriously tucked away, this unassuming neighborhood is full of eclectic shops like Room Service Vintage, late-night eats like Tyson’s Tacos, and local favorites like Home Slice Pizza.

Sagittarius: Rainey Street Historic District | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

As an adventure seeker, a Sagittarius would be able to make a speedy getaway from Rainey Street — with the closest access to I-35 — without being far-removed. Besides proximity to one of the biggest nightlife districts in the city, Rainey also offers access to the river and major thoroughfare Cesar Chavez Street.

Capricorn: East Cesar Chavez | Dec. 22-Jan. 19

With how diligent Capricorn is, they’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of spots in East Cesar Chavez to network and work remotely. From Texas Coffee Traders Cafe to Flat Track Coffee to Cosmic Saltillo, there are plenty of places to post up. Afterwards, hit up Zilker Brewing or Whisler’s to decompress.
