Austinities in search of a nearby summer getaway are in luck — Camp Landa in downtown New Braunfels opened Friday, May 24.

The boutique RV resort is the brainchild of Schlitterbahn waterpark’s founding family, and their newest venture is poised to be another quintessential Texas experience.

Situated on the edge of the Comal River, the 30-acre property was previously a manufacturing site for Schlitterbahn water attractions. It’s been transformed into a 1960s-inspired camping oasis, boasting both RV sites for travelers and private cabins for vacationers.

camp landa's camp store features t-shirts, mugs, hats, bags, koozies, slippers, cotton candy, tumblers, and canvas totes.

The camp store’s inventory reflects the resort’s colorful personality.
