They say you shouldn’t meet your heroes, but we’re going to go ahead and say that doesn’t apply to Austin FC.

Fans of the MLS team will have the chance to play alongside their favorite players on the Q2 Stadium pitch next month for the second annual Austin FC Energy Experience.

The entry application for the fan experience, sponsored by C4 Energy, opens today. Here’s what you can expect from the event:

  • A tour of Austin FC’s locker rooms
  • Running through drills with trainers and players
  • Appearances by midfielder Daniel Pereira and defender Nick Lima
  • C4 Energy drinks and a swag bag

About 50 people will be chosen to attend the event. Mark your calendars for 6-8:30 p.m on June 12, and good luck.
