Where to watch the Summer Olympics in Austin

Don’t watch the games without something good to drink, a big screen to tune into, and the company of your fellow Austinites.

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics are underway now until Sunday, Aug. 11, and we’re tuned in. Austin may be ~5,000 miles from Paris, but the spirit of the Olympics is palpable.

We’ve rounded up a few places to enjoy the events — let the games begin.

Dirdie Birdie, 10910 Domain Dr., Ste. #120 | Expect to see the Olympics on the screens every night starting at 7 p.m. — plus free Gold Medal Shots when a US athlete takes home a gold medal — at this indoor mini-golf course.

Easy Tiger, both locations | Enjoy rotating specials (like $3 mimosas or extended $5 happy hours), attend Olympics trivia night, and watch the coverage from the patio.

Independence Brewing, 3913 Todd Lane, Ste. #607 | Native Light pours on draft will be $3 through the end of the Olympics, in case you needed another reason to cheer.

Industry, 1211 E. 5th St., Ste. #150 | This casual restaurant will have the games playing on six TVs and a projector while serving up Olympics-themed cocktails.

If you’re a champion beer pong player, now’s your chance to win some food + drink specials during Parlor & Yard’s water pong game.

Parlor & Yard, 601 W. 6th St. | Try some Olympics-themed drinks while watching the events on the big screen, or try your hand at “Barlympics” games like flip cup, water pong, and ring toss for prizes.

Vacancy Brewing, 415 E. St. Elmo Rd. | Play a different kind of Olympics — “The Office” Olympics — on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Scholz Garten, 1607 San Jacinto Blvd. | The oldest continuously operating business in Texas (which is famous for showing Longhorn games) will show Team USA while you munch on food and drink specials.

Before you head out to one of these venues, you might want to brush up on the new sports and athletes with local ties. Don’t miss a moment — you can follow the games daily via KVUE.
