The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will face off in the 2026 Super Bowl this weekend, and though Texas teams aren’t playing, there will be plenty of Austin representation in the commercials.

Matthew McConaughey will continue his run with Uber Eats, this time alongside celebs Parker Posey and Bradley Cooper. Meanwhile, Austin-based comedian Shane Gillis will star in a campaign for Bud Light.

Let’s take a peek at past Austin celebrity Super Bowl commercial appearances.

Gary Clark Jr. in “Rock Star” | 2023

A local rock star himself, Gary Clark Jr. shared the small screen with musicians Ozzy Osbourne, Joan Jett, Billy Idol, and Paul Stanley.

Willie Nelson in “Legalize” | 2022

The outlaw country cowboy appeared on screens to make a cheeky joke that Sketchers shoes feel so good, they must be illegal.

McConaughey in “Flat Matthew” | 2021

McConaughey becomes his own version of “Flat Stanley,” which is equal parts charming and unsettling, in this series of ads for Doritos 3D.

It’s going to be a big weekend for Patriots and Seahawks fans, and Austin is a great place to find fellow supporters. We found a watch party catered toward each team.

New England Patriots: B.D. Riley’s

This known hub for Pats fans (home of Austin’s Official Patriots Fan Club) will host a watch party complete with beer specials. Doors open at 11 a.m., and owners recommend arriving before 2 p.m. as they expect to hit capacity.
