Try a dish you love? A refill is included in the price. | Photos by ATXtoday
There’s an electric new tasting experience in town. Electric Gravy’s Never Empty Stomach program launched last week, offering an experience rooted in Indian hospitality where guests can sample portions of several dishes.
The experience runs $38 per person and includes refillable dishes. It’s a great way to try a lot of flavors — I tried four chutneys, four curries, grilled paneer, samosas, fried chicken, naan, and dessert — and you can add on even more dishes at a discounted rate.
By the way, it’s great to enjoy with a mango lassi painkiller or dirty chai espresso martini. Make a reservation.

Today is Friday the 13th, a day that has been long associated with bad luck. I hope it doesn’t impact you, but research shows that superstitions like these definitely impact black cats, who are less likely to be adopted than other felines.
My black cat, Ozzy, brings me nothing but good luck as he sits on my lap overseeing production of this newsletter every day. If he could talk, he’d probably direct you to Austin Pets Alive!'s adoptable black cats.
