Tesla’s robotaxis in Austin are expected to become fully driverless by the end of the year. Since launching in June, the service has operated about 30 vehicles across the city, all equipped with front-seat safety monitors. (Austin American-Statesman)

The team behind Sushi by Scratch is rolling out a new concept in Austin. Shokunin, a casual spot inspired by Los Angeles sushi bars, will open Thursday, Oct. 30 inside the same East 6th Street building as Pasta|Bar. (Austin Business Journal)

Here’s something to taco ‘bout. Taquería de Diez has debuted on South Lamar Boulevard, bringing its crowd-favorite tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and desserts to south Austin. Psst — its original outpost on Trinity Street in Downtown Austin remains open.

Announced

Tillery Street Plant Co. is on the move — the nursery took to Instagram to announce it’s “moving to a beautiful new location” in east Austin. Additional details are forthcoming.

Keep your “Cool for the Summer” — Demi Lovato is coming to ATX. The popstar will bring her “It’s Not That Deep” tour to the Moody Center on Sunday, May 24, and general tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
