September 11, also recognized as National Day of Service and Remembrance and Patriot Day. Registration is open now for the 9/11 Heroes Run at Camp Mabry, which will take place at 8 a.m. this Sunday, Sept. 14.

Coming Soon

Skipjack Oyster, a seafood restaurant and raw bar, opens on Friday, Oct. 3. The new concept will take over the former Stella San Jac space inside The Westin Austin Downtown and offer 50% off bubbles by the glass throughout October to celebrate its debut.

Panda Fest, a traveling celebration of Asian food and culture, will take over Republic Square in Downtown Austin Friday, Nov. 14-Sunday, Nov. 16. The family-friendly festival features 40+ food vendors, an artisan marketplace, lion dances, and K-pop showcases. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 17.
