Screen printing shop Feels So Good moved Downtown, citing a rent hike at its south Austin location. The retail shop is now open across the street from Empire Garage, and the production facility (where custom orders will be stored) is now located in northeast Austin.

Cartier has plans to open its first Austin store inside The Domain, and the shopping center’s Zara location is set to nearly triple in size. Zara will go from 12,000 to 34,500 sqft late this year by expanding into the former Forever 21 space, while Cartier will replace Ben Bridge Jeweler and open at an undisclosed date. Houston-based all-day café Dish Society opens its second Capital City location today on South First Street. The counter-service restaurant opened its first Austin locale in Mueller in 2023 — keep an eye out for its Monday-Friday social hour for discounted bites + bevs.

Austin is a “Sucker” for the Jonas Brothers, who will bring the “Living the Dream Tour” to the Moody Center on Friday, Oct. 17. Fans can expect performances from the trio, solo songs, and DNCE. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 28.

Round Rock-based electric motor manufacturer Infinitum secured the No. 19 spot on Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies of 2025” list. Infinitum’s motors are used in data centers due to their lighter, smaller, and more energy-efficient design.

💡 Ladies and gentlewomen

What would Austin be without women? We can’t say for sure, but there’s a chance it wouldn’t be the state capital, or it might be barren of trees, and dozens of local landmarks would bear different names.
As we say goodbye to another Women’s History Month, let’s get to know a few of them.
Ann Richards (1933-2006)
Born and raised in Texas, Dorothy Ann Richards was a high school state debate champion before she attended Baylor University for undergrad and UT Austin for her teaching certificate. She was elected Texas Governor from 1991-1995, during which time she focused on bringing women and minorities into public office, introducing substance abuse recovery programs into prisons, and discouraging polluters.
