ATXtoday staff here. We receive hundreds of thank you emails every week, and often you ask how you can support us. That’s why we’ve created this campaign with a goal to raise $4,000 by the end of the week. If you’ve gotten something out of being subscribed to ATXtoday, like finding that life-changing concert in our Events section. Or using our City Guides to plan the perfect way to spend the day with family, we couldn’t be more honored to be a part of your life — and we’re calling on you now to help support our mission.

We spy a new hot spot. The Greek Bar, a new venture for restaurateurs and husband-and-wife duo Dimitri Karabinis and Daphne Greer, will begin welcoming guests on Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Travis Heights neighborhood.
What’s on the menu?
Come hungry for a Mediterranean feast, from zesty spreads and shareable mezze to hearty dishes like the “Big Fat Greek Fried Chicken” and whole grilled sea bass. Plus, fill up your table with vegetable-driven sides, wine imported from Greece, handcrafted cocktails, and sweet treats like baklava and Greek donuts. Happy hour and weekend brunch are coming soon.
Peek inside
The interior, executed by lauded designer Luke Havekes, incorporates original saltillo tiles and terra cotta elements to replicate Greek tavernas. It’s anchored by a plant-adorned bar with glass lamps hanging overhead, and there’s plenty of seating on the patio of the pale blue building. Book a reservation.
