After standing tall for nearly a decade, a mural of Willie Nelson on East 7th Street was demolished. The art was part of an abandoned building that once housed a bar called Mug Shots and was deemed structurally unstable. (KXAN)

Local convenience store Quickie Pickie plans to open a second location within Congress Lofts, an upcoming mixed-use development in the St. Elmo District. It’ll be a spot for locals to grab grocery items, sip craft beer, and eat breakfast tacos + sandwiches on a patio. (CultureMap Austin)
Biz
Via 313 Pizzeria raised some new dough to the tune of $32.5 million. The Austin-based restaurant chain will use the money to fund 20+ new locations over the next three years. (Austin Business Journal)
Concert
Tickets are on sale now for Cactus Cafe’s 45th Anniversary Concert Series, which kicks off today and runs through Saturday, Feb. 22. The listening room + bar on UT Austin’s campus will host a variety of local musicians, from rock band West 22nd to R&B singer Sir Woman.
Festival
We’re not jokin’ around — Moontower Comedy Festival’s full lineup and schedule is here, and it’s stacked with talent. Chris Distefano, Pauly Shore, and Grace O’Malley are just a few of the comedians set to hit a stage in Austin come Wednesday, April 9-Saturday, April 19.

After attending the opening night of this award-winning musical, I’ll be singing “One Day More” until further notice. Grab tickets to see the show through Sunday, Feb. 9, and get excited to see Lindsay Heather Pearce (a former Elphaba from “Wicked” and “Glee” cast member) as Fantine.
