Freezing rain, sleet, and/or snow falls on Austin about once every two to three years. Austinites know that when it snows, it’s not likely to be a blizzard. Since 2010, snowfall has only exceeded one inch one time.

Get your rackets ready, because the ATX Open is coming to Austin’s Westwood Country Club from Saturday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, March 2.
As Austin’s only pro-level tennis tournament and the city’s largest women’s sporting event, the ATX Open is set to showcase some of the biggest names in the sport. This year’s lineup includes tournament debuts by:

This highly-anticipated event is part of the prestigious Hologic WTA Tour, featuring 32 players going head-to-head in singles matches and 16 teams battling it out on the courts in doubles matches.
