🗳️ Election Day is here
Let’s vote, Austin. | Photo by ATXtoday
Today is Election Day, and if you haven’t cast your vote yet, it’s your last chance to do so.
Here are 10 tips to keep in mind today. Happy voting, y’all.
Don’t wear anything that publicizes candidates, parties, or measures, even if they aren’t on the ballot. Campaigning is forbidden within 100 ft of polling places.
Review a sample ballot or our guide to voting in Austin. If you’d like to bring materials with you, make sure it’s written on paper. You aren’t allowed to use your cell phone at the polls.
CapMetro will offer fare-free rides to the polls, plus free 60-minute rides via the Bikeshare app.
If you’d rather call a rideshare, Lyft and Uber are both offering 50% off rides (up to $10 off) on Election Day.
City Editor Figi and I had a blast at Austin Food & Wine Festival over the weekend. If you haven’t already, jump over to our Instagram to see what we ate + drank.
