Sabrina Carpenter will be working late (‘cause she’s a singer), so you might need a little espresso to keep up if you’re attending her show tonight at the Moody Center.
Please, please, please use this “Short n’ Sweet” roundup of six espresso martinis around the Live Music Capital of the World to celebrate.
No “Nonsense” classics
Codependent Coffee + Cocktails, 301 West Ave., Ste. 110 | Try this coffee concoction made with Dripping Springs Vodka, house espresso liqueur blend, fresh espresso, and Demerara — or opt for a shot of Medici Roasters espresso.
Lucky Duck, 1300 E. 6th St. | Austinites rave about Lucky Duck’s $12 espresso martini, which keeps it simple with Haku vodka, Kahlua, and espresso.
The Roosevelt Room, 307 W. 5th St. | Fit for a pop princess, this cocktail features Grey Goose Vodka, Borghetti espresso liqueur, J. Rieger Caffé Amaro, Tempus Fugit créme de cacao, macadamia liqueur, and ground coffee beans.
A unique “Taste”
Numero28, 452 W. 2nd St. | This drink doubles as a dessert and leaves quite an impression. Add a scoop of vanilla gelato to the martini made with an espresso shot, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Amaretto, Borghetti coffee liqueur, and dusted with ground espresso.
Halcyon, 218 W. 4th St. | This coffee shop’s espresso martini is also a local favorite. Plus, don’t miss the pumpkin spice version (available through the end of October) made with fresh espresso, pumpkin spice puree, vanilla vodka, coffee liquor, and alcoholic whipped cream.
Uncle Nicky’s, Multiple locations | Switch it up like Nintendo with this Italian eatery’s rum-based “Espresso Martiki,” with ingredients like Flor De Cana 7 Year Rum, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, pineapple, orgeat, and fresh espresso.
