  • Caffeine, gluten, sugar, butter, booze. That’s the motto at Rockman Coffee + Bakeshop, which local pastry chef Amanda Rockman opened yesterday. Located on East Cesar Chavez Street, the new bakery features rip-and-dip bagels, bourbon cake, filled croissants, and much more. (Eater Austin)
Closing
  • Outer Heaven Disco Club will likely close its doors by March 2025, as the venue’s landlord allegedly declined to renew its lease. The closure was announced via an Instagram post that states the club will be replaced with a luxury condo development. It is unclear whether Outer Heaven will relocate.
Drink
  • Sip, sip, hooray. Teddy’s, a new cocktail bar in the Cherrywood neighborhood, opened its doors yesterday at the former site of Thunderbird Coffee. Helmed by the team behind Love Supreme, Teddy’s slings batched “freezer-door cocktails,” natural wines, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages. (Eater Austin)
