Small Business Saturday is coming up on Nov. 25. What started as an American Express campaign in 2010 to inspire consumers to shop locally has become an annual holiday that’s celebrated nationally.
We asked you to tell us which local small businesses you love shopping with + any deals you’re excited for, and (as usual) you didn’t disappoint. Plus, we included some of the local deals and shops we love.
London | BookPeople | I recommend a picking up a read from a local author this season, like Elizabeth Crook’s “The Madstone” or “The Roxy Letters” by Mary Pauline Lowry. (PS — Black Friday shoppers can enter to win a personalized book subscription box from this local independent store.)
You all love shopping small.Check out where else readers said they’ll be shopping on Nov. 25.

Each of our news products is manned by two local City Editors and supported by the work of branded content writers, account managers, sales representatives, creative and growth marketing team members, editorial and executive leadership, our kickass operations team — and you, our readers and advertisers across the country.
If you’re sitting around the table today sharing what you’re thankful for, we’re doing the same.
Can you believe it’s already Thanksgiving? I’m thankful for a whole lot this year, including my two cats, Ozzy and Ralph; Cyber Monday sales, and sharing this city with y’all.
