It’s time to book a visit to Purr-fecto Cat Lounge right meow.
Dozens of adoptable kitties await you in a cozy space at 2300 S. Lamar Blvd. Purr-fecto owner Lupita Foster opened the lounge in July to give cats and humans a “speed dating” experience.
Foster adopted a kitty of her own, Romeo, after volunteering with cats for a local shelter. Spending such a long time with him gave Foster the confidence she needed to bring him home.
The lounge accepts cats from Fuzzy Texan Animal Rescue and the Sunshine Fund Cat Rescue . So far, Purr-fecto has facilitated 100+ adoptions since it opened.
Visitors can book a CATX-perience — $15 for 30 minutes, $30 for 70 minutes, ~$100 extra if you choose to adopt. From there, order a drink from adjoining Irie Bean Coffee, sit back, relax, and wait for the cats to come to you for a purrrfect meet-cute.
