Mark your calendars — emo rock band Hawthorne Heights is coming to Austin to treat locals to a very special show.

The “Ohio Is For Lovers ” band is teaming up with Domain NORTHSIDE at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 31 to create an Austin-centric concert experience... and it’s free.

The band will start out performing three songs atop a 30,000 sqft rooftop mural, which is visible from Google Earth, above Perry’s Steakhouse at 11801 Domain Blvd. The first songs will be live streamed via drone to the crowd below, after which the band will come down to perform street side.

The band approached the Domain themselves to get involved in a free show.

Alison Goodman, senior marketing director at Northwood Retail, told ATXtoday the concert is part of a bigger initiative to bring free entertainment to the community.

“We really want Domain NORTHSIDE to reflect values of the city and still be accessible to everybody” Alison said.
