It’s shaping up to be a hot summer in Austin — with high temperatures expected to climb above 100º for the foreseeable future — but that’s nothing a cocktail can’t fix.

In recognition of Drink Up Month and National Tequila Day on Monday, July 24, we’re bringing you a sweet and spicy local cocktail recipe from Wu Chow bar manager Johnny Soumphonphakdy: The Green Dragon.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Dulce Vida Pineapple Jalapeño
  • .5 oz Ancho Chile liqueur
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • 2oz Lychee Drink
  • Splash of Soda

Combine Dulce Vida Pineapple Jalapeño tequila, ancho chile, lime juice, and lychee drink in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain over ice, top with a splash of soda, and garnish with pineapple and jalapeño.

What’s your go-to summer sip? Send us your recipe and we might include it in an upcoming newsletter.
