Getting to know Austin-based R&B singer Grace Sørensen

We met up with the ATX-born artist to chat about her first-ever ACL set, what inspires her music, and what local music she keeps on her playlist.

Hey, “Miss Majesty.” At just 20 years old, R&B singer Grace Sørensen was one of the youngest performers to grace the stages at ACL Fest 2023.

We caught up with Sørensen after her first-ever set at the festival to learn a bit more about the born-and-raised local artist.

"(Performing at ACL) was a really surreal feeling,” Sørensen said. “I can’t lie — it was really, really dope to experience it for myself.”

Listening to Sørensen’s music, you might find yourself relating to her dreamy lyrics.

“It’s mostly me trying to figure myself out and learning about myself,” Sørensen said. “Basically indulging in my emotions and creating beautiful things out of feelings that aren’t all the time so beautiful.”

If you have yet to hear her music, Sørensen recommends starting with her most popular single, “Digits.”

Before you go, Sørensen has another Austin-based artist to recommend: Elijah Delgado, a friend and former classmate of hers.
