Cue “Kokomo” by The Beach Boys. Downtown Austin has a new pop-up tiki bar in town for the summer, situated on Fairmont Austin‘s seventh floor inside Rules & Regs.

The Broken Coconut transports guests into a tropical oasis, complete with themed cocktails, island-inspired bites, festive decor, and skyline views.

On the menu

  • The drink menu features tropical cocktails, shareable libations, and mocktails. City Editor Figi enjoyed the “Lava Flow” and “The Mono’i Road.”
  • The food menu includes light bites like crunchy edamame + island fries and heartier choices such as short rib skewers + spam sliders.
  • Craving something sweet? Try the pineapple upside down cake.

Plan your trip

The Broken Coconut opens at 5 p.m. Thursday-Sunday and will close mid-August. Happy hour runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Reserve a table for guaranteed seating.
