Austin-Bergstrom International Airport revealed renderings for its West Gate Expansion, and the upgrades are looking pretty swanky.

Construction on the $165 million addition is expected to begin this spring and include:

  • An additional 30,000 sqft on the concourse level
  • A new mezzanine
  • 12 new boarding bridges
  • Three new gates

In case you haven’t heard, this is just one of many projects taking place at ABIA. Other upgrades in the works include:

  • Filling in the empty space above baggage claim to add more square footage for bag checking and security screening, at a cost of $175 million
  • A new centralized bagging handling system with the ability to process 4,000 bags per hour, at a cost of $176.5 million
  • Expanding TSA Checkpoint 3
  • A new central utility plant and Austin Energy substation, at a cost of $14 million
