October may be over, but we’ve been hanging onto that last thread of Oktoberfest.

And we can’t think of a better place to celebrate than the historically German town of New Braunfels , which famously holds its beer and sausage fest , Wurstfest, each November.

Known as the “best 10 days in sausage history,” Wurstfest was founded in 1961 by city meat inspector Ed Grist. Fast forward to today, Wurstfest draws in thousands of visitors each day of the event.

Visitors can expect to enjoy accordion-rich polka music, dark German beers, and platefuls of potato pancakes and sausage.

So put on your lederhosen, grab your beer stein, and head down to Landa Park to enjoy food, live music, dancing, carnival rides, and competitions from Fri., Nov. 4-Sun., Nov. 13.

Get your tickets online for $18 through Thurs., Nov. 3, or $20 at the door. Time it right and you can get in for free from Mon., Nov. 7-Thurs., Nov. 10.
