Just outside of Austin at Luck Ranch, where horses roam free and music is always in the air, Willie Nelson hosts an annual music festival: Luck Reunion.
This year’s festival includes performances from St. Vincent, Adrian Quesada’s Trio Asesino, Alex Amen, Booker T. Jones, Lukas Nelson, and of course, Willie Nelson and Family on Thursday, March 19.
The music festival has a capacity of 3,500 people, creating an intimate concert experience with one of the biggest country music legends in the world.
Plus, Luck Ranch is home to buildings used in the set of “Red Headed Stranger,” which starred Nelson, so the festival makes you feel like you’re in an old west town. The set was originally meant to be burnt down, but now the chapel, Opry House, general store, and jailhouse live on in Nelson’s backyard.
It may look like a western film, but the 500-acre ranch is built on sustainable practices, including the solar-powered main stage to reduce fossil fuel usage.
UT Austin will soon break ground on a 14-floor, 216,000-sqft building to house law students on land donated by UT’s Law School Foundation. With amenities like two roof decks, a reading room, and a coffee shop, the building is expected to open in August 2028. (Austin American-Statesman)

The Buy
A pair of arch support socks that are engineered with biofeedback technology to improve foot alignment and stability. The Buy Editor Emily loves wearing them for runs and on days she’s on her feet a lot — thanks, hyperactive puppies.
Shout out to Nina Berenato, who did a permanent jewelry pop-up I attended over the weekend at SXSW. I got zapped with a new bracelet, complete with a cute little charm. I got the “The Rebel” chain, and I can’t wait to go back to get another.
