Event Spotlight

A group of people standing in front of a coffee tasting station. One person pours coffee into a small cup while others hold their cups, with one person taking a sip. The setup includes multiple coffee cups and carafes on the table, and a sign about coffee roasting in Austin is visible in the background. The setting appears to be inside a large, metal-roofed structure

Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee. Does that sound like you?

Lovers of coffee, java, bean juice — whatever you call it — can try sips from nearly 50 professional roasters at this weekend’s Austin Coffee Festival. The fourth annual festival will feature samples from locals including Barrett’s Micro Roast Coffee, Sightseer, and Greater Goods Roasting Co.

Figi here. I love coffee, but I’m more of a tea-drinker. Even still, I discovered a new local brand of tea, Walter’s Bay, that I love at last year’s festival.

Tickets run $38 for Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26.
