Around 136,713 tons of trash were collected via curbside in Austin last year — but where did it all go? For Travis County residents, most of it goes to the 2,300-acre Texas Disposal Systems Landfill in Creedmoor, but the City of Austin hopes to reduce the amount of trash sent to landfills by 90% by the year 2040. Austin FC’s 4ATX Foundation debuted a mini soccer pitch at Dailey Middle School in Del Valle last week. It’s the 10th mini-pitch and 12th soccer space overall to be created by 4ATX and partners since 2019.
