If you’re looking for a restaurant that will impress, look no further than Intero.
Helmed by native Austinites Ian Thurwachter and Krystal Craig, Intero’s exclusively farm-to-table menu constantly changes to align with seasonal ingredients and its zero-waste initiative.
Figi here. I visited Intero for the first time earlier this month. To my delight, our server (hey, Imogen) was able to tell me about the origins of everything on the menu, and the restaurant lists the farms it pairs with on the menu.
You probably won’t be able to try everything I ate, but here are some tips:
Order some bread — our focaccia was incredible
Step outside your comfort zone — I’m still thinking about the rigatoni with smoked rabbit
Don’t leave without trying some chocolate truffles (trust me)

I met my reading goal for the year last week, so I had to raise it from 18 to 25 books. One of the next stories on my TBR is “The Madstone” by local author Elizabeth Crook. It’s the sequel to “The Which Way Tree,” which is a phenomenal Hill Country tale.
