Canada-based company HydroGraph Clean Power Inc., which produces graphene, is packing up its headquarters to move to Austin. The company will relocate to a 20,000-sqft office on East St. Elmo Road and plans to employ ~30-40 people in Austin over the next few years. (Austin Business Journal)

$38.8 million. That’s how much UT Austin Athletic Director Chris Del Conte’s proposed 11-year contract extension is worth. The package includes an 18.4% raise, runs from 2026 to 2036, and means CDC will make $4.25 million in the final year of his contract if it’s approved. (KXAN)
Opening
After closing late last year, rock + metal music venue The Lost Well has found a new home on Airport Boulevard. The venue took over the former Tropicana Bar & Grill space and will hold its first show on Saturday, Aug. 23 with Mean Mistreater, Leather Church, and Tiny. (Community Impact)

The Capital City is the No. 7 “Best Large Real Estate Market” in the country, according to a new report from WalletHub. However, Austin was the second-highest city in Texas on the list, falling closely behind Fort Worth in sixth place.
