Hey y’all — Figi here. I visited Austin’s brand-new, second Postino location in Bryker Woods last Friday evening.
A rapidly growing chain based in Arizona, Postino is known for its substantial wine list and bruschetta offerings. Here are the highlights we recommend from the menu.
The cool and lemony “Tré Cucumber” cocktail
The “Sweet N’ Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese” + “Smoked Salmon + Pesto” bruschetta — one board lets you pick four flavor options
The seasonal burrata — ours was topped with caramelized onions, blistered tomatoes, basil, and balsamic vinegar
The mushroom fondue — think queso with mushrooms in it
The “Hot Donut Dots” were possibly our favorite, and come with three dipping sauces
Psst... It was my first time dining at any Postino, but I was surprised to see the dining room was absolutely packed, so make a reservation if you want to try it for yourself.

In case you couldn’t tell from my enthusiasm yesterday, I’ve seen “The Nightmare Before Christmas” more times than my bony fingers can count. In fact, my siblings and I once dressed as Lock, Shock, and Barrel for Halloween, so I’m very excited to see the trail up close.
