This spring, we’re taking a deeper look at medical cannabis in Texas — what’s legal, the latest products available to patients, and how some say it’s changing lives.
When Jacob began experiencing severe dizziness, nausea, and seizures, his life changed. After exhausting multiple treatment options, he was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy.
Desperate for relief, Jacob’s family turned to medical cannabis.
Since October 2020, he has been seizure-free thanks to Texas Original. “I used to be scared when I’d wake up dizzy and have a seizure,” Jacob said. “Now I don’t worry anymore.”
For Barry, a veteran, it offered him a different way to find relief in his healing journey.
After losing his son and being diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer in the same year, Barry became dependent on prescription opioids for pain relief.

Sugar Land-based ARVO Ventures announced a new retail project, called The Shops at San Gabriel, in Leander. The 5.5-acre development is expected to break ground just off Highway 183 later this year and open in 2026. (Austin Business Journal)
Weather
The short-lived La Niña phase is over, leading into an ENSO Neutral season. This spring has already been drier than normal, and six out of the last 10 ENSO Neutral spring seasons were more dry than typical, which could signal a hot summer. (KXAN)

The best pet supply products to simplify at-home care and keep your fur baby happy:
🐾 Pet ear wipes are a quick, one-step solution to make sure pets don’t develop problems caused by build-up.
🐾 This cat + dog steam brush de-sheds better than plain brushes or combs, thanks to hair-attracting steam.
🐾 Eager to avoid expensive teeth cleaning? Once-a-week dental wipes can get you there without tangling with a toothbrush.
🐾 Swapping water bowls for a pet water fountain keeps water filtered and fresh — and pets tend to love drinking from it.
🐾 As seen on TV, Muddy Mats are designed to trap dirt, mud, and sand from paws, keeping entryways clean — no toweling off required.
I’d like to give a special shout out to reader Laura M. for putting adult Easter egg hunts on my radar. I think it may become a new tradition among my friends.
