🍀 Gone to Luck
Luck Reunion invites folks to party on Willie’s property for three days of food, live music, and good vibes. | Photo by ATXtoday
Just outside of Austin at Luck Ranch, where horses roam free and music is always in the air, Willie Nelson hosts an annual music festival: Luck Reunion.
This year’s festival included performances from Aly & AJ, Julien Baker, Lukas Nelson, Charley Crockett, and of course, Willie Nelson and Family.
Tickets are hard to come by — often selling out in minutes — and the music festival has a capacity of 3,500 people, creating an intimate concert experience with one of the biggest country music legends in the world on his property.
Plus, Luck Ranch is home to buildings used in the set of “Red Headed Stranger,” which starred Nelson, so the festival makes you feel like you’re in an old west town. The set was originally meant to be burnt down, but now the chapel, Opry House, general store, and jailhouse live on in Nelson’s backyard.

SXSW 2026 badges will be deeply discounted through the rest of the month. | Photo by ATXtoday
SXSW will look different in 2026, and not just because the new Austin Convention Center will be under construction.
The 40th anniversary fest will be just seven days long, which is two days shorter than typical, and the music festival portion in particular will be cut short. The fest will take place Thursday, March 12 through Wednesday, March 18.
SXSW 2026 badge holders will also have access to all programming pertaining to their badge type, including keynotes, expos, lounges, and activations.
Organizers said they will use the time that the festival will be displaced from the convention center to “reinvent spaces for our community by creating industry-specific hubs to enable new ways to connect.”
From now until Monday, March 31, tickets on presale will be available at deep discounts, starting at $475.

Really cute palazzo pants on sale at Nordstrom Rack. The lightweight, flowy pants can be dressed up or down for spring events and come in fun prints.
I may or may not have shed a tear during “Just Outside of Austin” while Morgan and I attended Luck Reunion. I don’t have to tell y’all that I love Austin, but hearing that song live really encapsulates how lucky we are to live here.
