Books aren’t the only thing you can check out at the library.
Austin residents can pick up a library card for the low, low price of free, while non-residents can get an eCard for $22. Here’s what that lovely little card can get you.
Technology
You probably already know that the library has free Wi-Fi, but did you know you can take the connection home with you? APL allows cardholders to check out laptops, tablets, and Wi-Fi hotspots for up to three weeks.
Austin Public Library’s Central branch is noted as a “model” for new and expanding libraries.

I don’t ask for much, but I would really like to see some sweater weather soon. Fall fashion is my favorite, but we get so little of it in Austin. Luckily, temperature highs are mostly around mid-70s for the next 10 days.
