  • Break out your sweaters because a minor cold front is in the forecast. Low temperatures are expected to fall down to 63 degrees on Sunday, Sept. 8 and stay in the 60s until Friday, Sept. 13. (KVUE)

  • A 65,000-sqft, yet-to-be-named live entertainment venue is being drafted in Riverside as part of the first phase of the River Park project. The project doesn’t yet have a concrete timeline, but the entire development is expected to take 10-20 years to complete.

    If you haven’t tried pickleball yet, chances are you will soon. The sport is the fastest-growing in America, with millions of people playing regularly and Major League Pickleball popping up in Austin.

    Here are some places to play pickleball in Austin, based on your athlete style.

    Austin Parks and Recreation Department Pickleball Courts | Austin’s parks department offers 20 free pickleball locations around the city. Read the fine print before you go — some locations require a reservation.

    Bouldin Acres | After playing, grab a drink at the bar, order food from CM Smokehouse, and soak in the sun on this dog-friendly patio — the site also features a playground and dog park.

    Austin Pickle Ranch | Sign on for open play and make some new pals, play on a private court with some of your athletic friends, or join as a member to compete at the Braker Lane or West 6th Street location.
