Local celebrity chef and Foliepop’s owner Kévin D’Andrea is bringing a piece of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to Austin with a new show: “Breaking Baguettes.”

In a five-part NBCUniversal show, D’Andrea will meet with both retired and current Olympians (some of whom will represent Team USA this summer) to discuss and prepare French cuisine.

The show premieres on Tuesday, June 4, with new episodes released periodically through Tuesday, June 18.

So what gives D’Andrea the right credentials? A French native and current Austinite, D’Andrea was a finalist on “Top Chef France” and a contestant on “Top Chef: Wisconsin.”

The show was filmed at GhostLine Kitchens in Austin. Viewers can expect cameos from gold-medalist swimmer Lydia Jacoby, double gold-medalist David Robinson, diver Alison Gibson, and more.
