Alaska Airlines will cancel its seasonal nonstop route from Austin to Boise, with the last flight scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15. After that, AUS will no longer serve any direct routes to Idaho’s capital city. (KXAN)

After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center closed its emergency division in late December. The boutique hospital’s representatives say the closure will help the facility manage debt. (Austin Business Journal)

The Texas Hill Country is one of the best places to visit in the world, according to CNN Travel. The rolling hills were mentioned due to their natural springs, abundance of dance halls, and delicious pies — especially those found at the Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls.
