It’s time to turn it up — Austin City Limits Music Festival is just over a week away. Grab your hydration pack, bring your closest pals, and get excited for a weekend full of music.
The festival opens at 12 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday of both weekends. Here’s all the info you need to know before you go.
You’ll want to be well-dressed on the festival grounds, because ACL is almost as much a fashion show as it is a music festival.
Weekend one is calling for temperature highs from 86º-94º — so make peace with the fact that you’re going to sweat. Get functional with your accessories — think manual fans and stylish sunglasses — wear breathable fabrics, stick to closed-toed shoes, and lean into your personal aesthetics. Don’t be afraid to go bold.
Stay tuned for a guide to festival fashion, or read last year’s fashion guide.
Bag policy
No matter the size, expect for your bag to be searched before you enter festival grounds.
Small bags + fanny packs smaller than 6" x 9" do not need to be clear, but can only have one pocket.
All other bags must be clear and no larger than 12" x 6" x 12".
Hydration packs are allowed and do not need to be clear, but must be empty and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir.
A map of ACL grounds will be available closer to festival opening.

The best way to stay up-to-date on festival goings-on is to download the app — which will be available on the app store closer to festival opening — where you can view a map of the grounds, hourly performing schedule, alerts + schedule changes, and a guide to finding freebies.

From now on, you can catch me taking the Red Line to Cosmic Saltillo anytime I need a colorful little drink. As a longtime fan of Cosmic’s Pickle Road location, I’m thrilled to have a Cosmic that’s a little closer to me.
