With personal investment portfolios declining a whopping 44% this year, according to JPMorgan, you’re not alone if you’re feeling anxious about your retirement fund.

Masterworks may help pad out your nest egg by investing in multi-million dollar art by artists like Picasso and Monet, without breaking the bank. Why? According to new research from Goldman Sachs, diversified portfolios with real assets like art (read: less likely to depreciate with changes in the market) have outperformed traditional 60/40 portfolios for decades.

The skyline’s newest addition 🏙

Wilson Tower announced as next tallest skyscraper in Austin

There’s a new tallest tower coming to Austin — no, another one.

Just two months after construction began on Waterline, the 74-story Rainey Street tower set to become the tallest in the skyline, plans for an even taller skyscraper were revealed: Wilson Tower.

The Fifth Street project — which will also become the tallest building in Texas — is anticipated to top out at 80 stories and 1,035 ft, just 13 ft higher than the Waterline development.

Austin Business Journal broke news of the announcement Monday morning. Construction is expected to begin next summer at 410 E. Fifth St., but here’s what we know so far:
  • 450 apartments
  • Almost 1.2 million sqft
  • Smallest floor plan: 471 sqft
  • Largest floor plan: 3,768 sqft
  • Plans for ground-floor restaurant and retail space
  • Amenities include a pool deck with food and beverage services, a wellness center, cocktail lounge, movie theater, coworking space, and pet playroom and grooming center
